Below is a real letter from a real homeowner at Village Square- We have the best homeowners EVER!
Dear Diana,
I wanted to thank you again for helping me with the purchase of my first home here at Village Square. As you know I am in the “Residence 4” plan, the 3 BR/3 BA house. The house is so perfectly suited for my lifestyle and I am enjoying every minute of living here.
I am using the lower level bedroom as a TV-room and have a daybed with a trundle in there. It’s perfect for an occasional overnight guest especially given the fact that there is a full bathroom right next to the bedroom. The second bedroom upstairs has been taken over by my nephew who goes to school in Berkeley and is here every weekend; he loves having his own private space in the house, especially his own attached bathroom. The room is furnished with a full sized bed, a dresser and two night stands and is still uncluttered and spacious. Having the laundry room between the two bedrooms upstairs has been really ideal: no walking up and down with the laundry and all those cabinets in the upstairs hallway provides me with excellent storage for linens and things.
My favorite part of the house is the kitchen and the open floor plan in the living/dining/kitchen areas. I cook a lot (almost every day), and turn the TV on or listen to music as I am cooking. The storage space in the kitchen is really quite remarkable: I even have some empty shelves!! I had a dinner party once with about 15-guests and was worried that it was going to be crowded around here, but having the large balcony and the openness of the space made it all work out quite wonderfully. I can’t wait for winter time when I can turn on the fireplace and enjoy the warm ambience of the space.
Finally, the two-car garage has been quite a luxury. Even after parking two cars, I had plenty of room to allow a friend of mine to temporarily store a whole household worth of stuff in the garage.
Our dog loves the house as well, he loves walking up and down the stairs, spends time hanging out in the balcony and enjoys walking around in the community park.
At first I was a bit apprehensive that being sandwiched between two houses would lead to noise infiltrating from the neighbors, but I have to say, till date I have not heard a single sound from the neighbors.
All in all, it has been a perfect fit for me. I have even started working more from home lately since I really enjoy being here in the house.
Thank you again for all your help.
