Three and a half years ago, I’d never been to Union City. My first visit to Talavera was right after I started at SummerHill. For Talavera’s 1st sales release, there was a tent set-up in the parking lot to announce the release. The homes were just barely started and the models hadn’t even opened yet.
Well, Talavera has come a long way in 3 years, Debra, the awesome community sales manager, has been there to sell 206 homes. Amazing. She’s even gotten into our new social media campaign and has posted photos on Talavera’s Facebook page. Now she is selling the final 4 homes, including two of the models. The great news is that these homes are ready for move in before the holidays. And, they are well-planned for easy entertaining with your family.  You’ll be sure to enjoy your turkey, sinangag (garlic rice) Buddha’s delight or any other holiday foods that appeal to your family. Got a special recipe? We’d love to try it, just share it with us in the comments section.
Once the holidays are over, you’ll have time to appreciate the other benefits of Talavera. The location can’t be beat. If you commute across the Bay to the Peninsula, you’re just off the 84 at the last exit before the Dumbarton Bridge. Commute to an office in the East Bay? You’ll also be close to the 880 making it easy to get where you need to be.
And, then there’s so much to do when you get home. Take the kids out to the 4-acre park, complete with a soccer field and play structure, right inside Talavera. Or if you like to run as I do, the Alameda Creek Trail is just across the street from Talavera. Debra thought I was a bit extreme when I went out for a 9 mile run on the trail in 2006 when I was training for a half-marathon, but it was literally a great place for a nice, long run.
Or just enjoy a quiet evening in your beautiful, new single-family home.
Need a bit of adventure away from home? Union Landing is very close to Talavera for plenty of shopping and dining options. Check out iFly, where you can “sky dive†inside. Don’t believe me? You just have to check it out. Or hit the movies at the 25-plex Cinemark theaters.
It will be bittersweet to sell-out at Talavera, but we love all the new homeowners that are now members of our SummerHill family.
I love that sinangag (garlic rice) was featured in this Blog. Surely a Filipino traditional dish! If you haven’t tried it and enjoy a culinary adventure, try Gerry’s Grill in Union City which offers a variety of Filipino Favorites. My personal favorites are the breakfast plates, sinangag with your favorite meat (sweet pork or fried fish or filipino sausage) served with a slice of tomato, slice of cucumber and an over easy egg! Enjoy a cool glass of calamansi juice (similar to lemonade but better) to compliment your meal. YUM! This treat will be sure to tantalize your taste buds… check it out!
